Daniel came to visit! In this vlog, we’re spending the day with our good friend Daniel from Manhattan Nest. We bounce around Tree House and its neighboring ‘hoods in Harbor Country, Michigan, eating waffle fries, digging through antiques and making chili. We burn the bottoms of our feet on the dunes’ hot sand, and we cool off with a beachside walk along lake Michigan. (Not filmed: A heated game of Catch Phrase that lasted way, way past our bedtime, although it was worth every minute of lost sleep.) It was a fun adventure day, and we’re sad it had to end so soon! If you’re viewing this in a reader, you may need to click over to the original post to view the video, or watch it on YouTube here.
Early in the visit, we did an Instagram Story callout for questions. If there’s one thing many of you already know about both YBH + MN, it’s that we’re far from succinct. To keep this vlog from becoming too long, we created a part II, where we’re gathering around the fire for a Q + A. Come back tomorrow!
If you’re unable to watch video at the moment and want to learn more, here’s an introduction to our Tree House, which is located in Harbor Country of southwest Michigan. We recently completed the kitchen and mudroom renovation (here’s a video tour through all of our cabinets!), and you can check out where we got most of the items in our home right here. (Tip: All our home + shop pages are easily accessible on our menu bar at the top of this blog!)
Follow along with Daniel on Manhattan Nest!
Peasant’s Pantry has the best waffle fries, hands down.
We can’t not go to HCM Vintage Finds anytime we’re in Sawyer!
Jane’s Krazy Salt is that good. (It reminds us of sour cream + chives potato chips!)
We use this camera + this stabilizer
