Not only are A and E of Two Pitties in the City friends of ours, but their celebrity pooches, Mr B and Miss M, are also coolio with Jack. While our little man may not have the extensive wardrobe his buddies have (although, we’re making progress!), Mr B has graciously accepted him into his puppy posse – proven by their side-by-side weekly SociaBulls strolls.
So when A and E – also city dwellers – asked if we could share how we keep (tiny) house with our three fuzzy kids in tow, we jumped on board. We’ve shared a few tips with you in the past, but for an extensive rundown (never one known for my brevity, although I try; I swear), go here as we visit the virtual home of B and M. I’ve been a long time follower/quiet lurker of your blog and Two Pitties in the City, both of which are awesome. We also have a pit-mix and two cats also in a very small house. Hopefully, this isn’t too personal of a question but where do you put/hide the cat litter box? I’ve stuggled with this for quite some time and love some tips/ideas. Thanks!
Hi Jackie, it’s not too personal! Most people don’t believe us when we say this, but the litter box is next to our bed, between the bed and the window wall. We have a covered box, and the entrance is facing the wall, so it sits off of the wall about 10″ for the kitties to have access. This way, it’s less offensive (we’re not looking at it!), and it’s too far out of reach for Jack.
Once, we tried to move it to a different room, and Libby got so (literally) pissed, that she peed on the bed! I missed a half day of work cleaning! We learned to not mess with the system anymore. The girls are happy, and we’re fine with it!
Thank you so much for such a great post! Your home is so beautiful, and so perfect for Jack and the girls. I like your terrarium tip too. We love having flowers, and our dogs are usually ok with it, but many of our fosters aren’t. When we had SuperLevi I was so sad to have to give up greenery, knowing he would go right for it. This would be the perfect thing to do.
