I LOVE Capilano Suspension Bridge — the walkways through the treetops remind me of the Ewoks!ReplyCancel

I live in Seattle (and am traveling to Vancouver for the first time soon!), you picked a great week to come here! It’s sunny and not too warm.

We have SO MUCH amazing food here, but here are three of my don’t-miss-its:

Breakfast: a chocolate old-fashioned AND a maple bar at Top Pot donuts. Trust.

Lunch: A few delicious, delicious pizzas at Serious Pie.

Dinner: the Seattle crunch roll and 007 roll at Umi Sushi.

    Have so much fun!ReplyCancel

Liz, that’s the same thing Scott said!

Kate: Donuts from Top Pot are on our list tomorrow (it’s right next to our hotel!), and Umi Sushi is also on the list. Thank you so much!ReplyCancel

Vancouver is now officially on my list of places to visit. That suspension bridge walk!ReplyCancel

Kaitlin, the suspension bridge was nuts (in a good way) – but to be totally honest, it was a bit touristy (a little over the top at times). Regardless, it was still gorgeous and a really fun thing to do! Scott absolutely LOVED it, and we balanced out his “bridge-must-do” with a little shopping in the evening – ha! – followed by a sunset beach stroll. It was a perfect day.ReplyCancel

Ahhh! That 1st bridge would make me SO nervous! I would have to cover my face with my hands and just peek through to see the beautiful scenery!ReplyCancel

  • Kim8.28.12 - 11:18 PM

Abby, I thought I’d be nervous too, but it wasn’t so bad! Very shaky, but still so fun!ReplyCancel

      Thank you, how2home! For these photos, we’re using a Nikon D80 DSLR with a 50mm and 12-24mm lens.ReplyCancel

Random question on an old post – but I’d thought I’d give it a go just in case you’re still checking it! I’m planning a surprise trip to Vancouver for my finacee’s 30th birthday. The Aquarium up there has been on his bucketlist for a while, so it was an easy destination choice! Do you have any recommendations on hotels/accommodations from when you were there? Thanks!ReplyCancel

Hi Katie, what a great surprise trip, how fun! As for where we stayed, we were in the Westin downtown on Robson, right here: http://www.westingrandvancouver.com/

It was walking distance to the water taxis, campus and a lot of shopping and restaurants – we felt it was really an ideal location.

    Hope that helps!ReplyCancel

It does – Thanks so much!ReplyCancel
