When our friend Danielle asked us if we’d be interested in trying out her cocktail inspired soaps, we said, yes, please! As the mixologist behind The Soap Distillery, Danielle creates slather-worthy, bathtub fun from scratch. Using a blend of shea and cocoa butters, essential oils and mostly vegan friendly ingredients, you’ll find seasonal scents such as Pumpkin IPA, Mulled Wine and Egg Nog – along with those booze-y staples such as Brandy, Bourbon and Scotch. (Is it 5 o’clock yet?)

For the last week, we’ve been lathering up with Coffee and Cream (me) and Absinthe (Scott). Not only does our bathroom smell delicious, but for real, we’re nice and soft. Mmm, must be the coca butter – as if I know. In any case, it’s as if we’ve jumped into our favorite drinks, but without the sticky mess – and, you know, we come out clean.
Right now, the only way to get your hands on these soaps is by visiting The Soap Distillery’s Indiegogo campaign, where you can donate towards Danielle’s craft and pick the scents you’d like delivered right to your mailbox. It’s a win for you, and a well deserved win for her. But hurry – the campaign ends on November 8th, at which point, we’re hoping that Danielle can bring her soaps to a broader audience!
