A Pet + Print Shop Holiday Update

Update: We’ve sold out of custom pet paintings for the year – you didn’t waste any time at all! That said, we’ve got you covered with our gift certificates, or if you were simply looking to treat your fine self, 2016 pre-orders are now available for a limited time, too. In the meantime, continue to take 25% off all orders in The Print Shop with promo CELEBRATE25. xx

This year, we celebrated our 5 year anniversary with The Pet Shop5 years! To this day, I still can’t believe how far the shop has come. Even as I type those words, I’m shaking my head with a grin on my face. When you requested something larger than the 4×4 original, we offered up additional sizes; when your mom wanted to have grand-dog art for her walls too, we said, how about affordable pet prints?

After I embedded my first PayPal button on the blog, I remember being thoroughly confused and surprised when I received an email notification that I’d been paid. It was simply a test to start, and it turned into so much more. Since that day, I’m thisclose to painting my 1,000th pint-sized portrait. By the end of this year, I will. So for that and all the support you have shown The Pet Shop over the years, thank you.

All this to say, we’re heading fast + furious into the holiday season, and I have only 10 openings remaining for pet paintings. Once I’ve filled those slots, custom portraits will be deactivated for the remainder of the year. If you’re interested in a painting – for a friend, a teacher, mentor, neighbor or Fido himself – I encourage you to act fast. Starting in 2016, we will be updating our pricing structure for the first time in 3 years, so if you’ve been considering a custom pet painting, now is the time to lock in the current rate. You can get started right here!

If we’ve since sold out of custom work for the year and you’re on the hunt for a personal and unique holiday gift, we’ve got you covered with our gift certificatesOr if you were simply looking to treat your fine self, we’ll open up 2016 pre-orders for a limited time, too. Please note: gift certificates purchased and redeemed immediately – you sneaky loophole, you! – cannot be guaranteed for delivery by December 25th.

But wait, there’s more (she says)! We want to bring pretty, conversation-starting, cheerful art into your home, and we invite you to take a look at what’s new in The Print Shop! We’ve just added 4 new photos, and to celebrate, we’re offering 25% off everything (including trio sets) when you use the code CELEBRATE25. This Print Shop promotion is good through this Friday, 10/16!

Hi Kim, I love the prints available in the print shop! I was actually thinking about getting some photos from a recent family vacation printed as Christmas presents and I’d like them to look as professional as yours – do you get those printed yourself or do you outsource to somewhere local, etc if you don’t mind me asking?ReplyCancel

Hi Allyson, thank you! I can’t really share the exact printing source, as I work with a place that caters to professionals/enthusiasts, offering rates that allow us to make a profit. (I don’t want to sound secretive at all, as I mean that with love in my heart!) That said, I did a lot of research beforehand and checked around at local companies using Yelp to find smaller places that had more paper options. Although the local companies wouldn’t work to sell prints (they cater to consumers), I did find some places that had pretty papers.

Another option: I seriously cannot stop saying how much I love Framebridge! They make it super duper simple, because you can upload your photos, and they’ll print and frame it then mail it to you. They helped us with the One Tail Adoption Center, and I sent them the logo to print for the entryway. The quality was OUTSTANDING. We’re a part of their artist’s program, so you can use this code at checkout to get $10 off: YELLOWBRICKHOME10 – but I would spread the love even if we weren’t in the program. They are just that awesome.ReplyCancel
