Painted: Lots! And a Big Thank You

This is not our regular cute-pet-parade Painted feature (well, the cute pets hold true), but I sort of just want to stand from the roof of our yellow brick building and shout a big, honkin’ thaaank yoouu! to all of our ahh-mazing supporters of the Pet Shop.

These past few months have been a wild blur of paint (apron or not – hey, sometimes I just plain ol’ forget), emails, kitty candids, puppy videos, and a whole lot of omg, Scott, I want to put this fella right in my pocket! That may or may not happen every time I open an email bursting with snapshots of your cute pets. (Truth: every time, actually.)

After surprising my man with this simple pup a few years back, I was a bit shocked at how many friends began requesting their own pint-sized portraits. And after some not-so-subtle pushes from close pals and family, I officially opened up shop last fall, and holy shmoly, you guys have been encouraging and gracious beyond words.

So, thank you! Thank you right up to the moon and back! It’s been an intense, fun, and rewarding ride into the unknown, I’ve fallen in love with more pets than I can count on all my fingers and toes (and Scott’s, too), and y’all have made me feel very, very happy. You folks are the most awesome-est ever.

As an extension of our gratitude, we’re offering up a 15% discount towards anything in our Etsy shop (and yes, that includes Your Pet’s Portrait while available; please note that custom work is not always offered through Etsy). Simply use promo code BIGTHANKS15 at checkout through June 15th. xo!

Kim, I never got around to telling you that my friends LOVED the painting of their dog, Memphis, that I gave to them for their wedding! They were SO excited and really touched. It looks just like her!ReplyCancel

Hi Laura, I’ve refreshed the listing (one just sold). I don’t know how many I’ll be able to list through Etsy through the promotion, but please check back when you can!ReplyCancel

Hi! I tried to e-mail you, but it said that the e-mail domain rejected my request so I’m going to comment in hopes that I can get a question answered!

I want to order two and since you’re having such a wonderful sale (thank you!) I wanted to ask if it was okay if I placed an order for some pictures that would come later? What I mean is, my husband and I are anxiously awaiting for the day that we can pick up our beautiful little girl, Ally, a Norweigan Elkhound. She was born on May 25 and we are going to be able to pick her up at the end of July and so far we don’t have many photos of her, not to mention, none of them are actually from us and she’s so small! So I was wondering if I could place an order now and get in on your great deal before it’s too late and we can get together in August when I’ve got some photos of the little one to give you?

    Thank you!

Aleksandra, it’s a deal. I can’t wait to paint your beautiful Chick! It seems as though the pressure will be on for your little kiddo. :)ReplyCancel

Of course all the custom listings are sold now :)

I’ve been thinking about doing something of all our pets. I really like the over-sized photos you did of your furbabies, but a custom painting would be so sweet as well.

Your paintings are really lovely, they have a nice mix of pop and sweetness.ReplyCancel

Hi Jaimie, we love, love, love our oversized photos!

However, if you’re interested in some custom work with more than one pet on a canvas, please feel free to send us an email (team@yellowbrickhome.com) and we can talk about some options! In addition, I’m renewing the custom listing as time allows, so please check back… As I said in the post, you all are just very generous and I cannot thank you enough!ReplyCancel

Kim, not that your paintings weren’t always beautiful, but they’ve really evolved into a sweet look. I can really see your talent grow! It’s awesome! I’m super proud of you, Stooge! mwa!ReplyCancel
