Home Essentials That Look Good Doing Their Thing: Cleaning Supplies

We’re rounding out our series of home essentials with cleaning supplies! So far, we’ve covered the bathroomkitchen, office and family room. Today, I’ve made a master list based on your requests for attractive dust pans, brooms, step ladders, scrub brushes and caddies – to name a few. And yes, these things do exist!

A handful of bottled cleaning solutions – think: hand soap, dish soap and all-purpose spray – have been included, and for good reason! The packaging itself is nice enough to refill once the last drop has been squeezed from the bottle. Enjoy the fancy formula for round one, and then refill with capfuls of Mrs. Meyers and jugs of soap refill for the future!

We have items 3, 89 (so handy!), 30 and 34 (the sewn-in hook is a game changer). In my shopping cart is the slimmest folding stepladder I’ve ever seen (#35) and a big stack of #13. Plus, how pretty is this hand soap (#14)?

Great list! So many good looking products! A suggestion on your linking – anything that leads to an outside source should pop up in a new tab, anything that leads to YBH should be open in the same tab. As I was clicking on items in your list I kept having to backtrack to your page and then remember to ‘open in a new tab’.ReplyCancel

Yes please! While I’m at it, if you could make the thumbnails for the posts clickable that would be great (easier to click a big ol picture than a “Read More” button.ReplyCancel

I was recently on a quest to find decent looking cleaning sprays – that also aren’t horrible for the environment. https://www.blueland.com/ recently launched, so I decided to give it a go. Great reusable spray bottles and they work well. Highly recommend checking them out if you’re concerned about single-use plastics and want something to look good!  ReplyCancel

I’ve gotta say…I follow your blog and one other pretty religiously (because you’re amazing if you didn’t know!) and it’s been SO refreshing to come back here and feel like you post so many relatable things. One of my favorite bloggers just moved into their brand new house and have been doing some pretty incredible renovations, but all of their changes have been feeling so unattainable and not for the average human lately…really needed some YBH in my life today! So thankful that you guys are committed to REAL and have so many fun little posts like this along with your super cool projects. ReplyCancel

We have that undersink organizer (#9) and I really love how easy it makes getting dishwasher soap out of the cabinet! I love all of these!ReplyCancel

Can I add lovely handmade, vegan, cruelty-free bar soaps to the list of bathroom cleaning necessities? I love the Esse Soap Company luxury bars; especially the rainbow pride bar. But what I like most is their slogan, “be kind to yourself”.  ReplyCancel
