Best of Amazon: Let’s Get Organized!

In Best of Amazon, we’re uncovering the hidden gems to help you with your day-to-day. Today is all about organization! You can also see our favorite items anytime in our Amazon Shop.

I overthink most things. I think I’ve made a decision, only to wonder, is there a better way? Then I research a little more, dig a little deeper and push back my final decision a little further. (Does this sounds like you, too?) And it’s at this time of year – like so many of us! – that I’m taking a closer look at our home, and I strive to ensure that it’s working smarter for us. I hone in on the inside of our drawers and seldom-used rooms, and I say, is there a better way? And so the circle goes around and around.

Organization is my jam. I truly love it, and it’s why I think about it so much! So as an ode to my favorite way to fall down a rabbit hole, I’m sharing my favorite finds on Amazon to get our home – like, the royal ‘our’ – looking and feeling its best! Which, in turn, serves the family inside for the better.

Let’s Get Organized!

1. A large woven storage basket for toys, laundry, throw blankets or anything – really, anything! – else.

2. An attractive cable management box, because that tangle of cords under the television console (and on the desk) physically pains you.

3. This slim foyer table for that slim wall that doubles as your grand entryway.

4. This highly rated magnetic organizer for the kitchen, laundry room or back of the pantry door (or the bathroom or, or!).

5. Miniature hangers for the kids’ closets because you’ll do anything to have some semblance of cleanliness in there. We use these for Lucy’s pint-sized clothes and love them!

6. A handsome faux leather tray for the collection of things that sit atop your coffee table. Boom! It’s suddenly all tidy.

7. Bamboo drawer dividers for the junk drawer, craft drawer and anything-else-at-all-drawer. And while you’re cleaning up, toss all the pens that have dried out (please!).

8. A cute-as-pie mudroom bench with flip top storage and cubbies – one for you, one for them.

9. This genius utensil organizer that saves space – more room for your awesome collection of big wooden spoons, I say! – and looks good doing it.

10. A big cotton rope basket for every corner of the house! We use these for Lucy’s toys, and they swallow ev-er-y-thing.

11. Stacking acrylic bins for the refrigerator, the spice drawer and all the lost packets of taco seasoning. Our fridge is much happier for these!

12. This sweet geometric trinket tray for your keys and earrings and the hair tie that’s been killing you all day.

13. An open air basket for fruits, veggies, fabric swatches and every paint chip that you’ve held up to your bedroom wall.

14. Never underestimate the power of a hunky coat rack. (Also in white!)

15. These shoe stacking space savers are the stuff of dreams! Currently in my shopping cart.

16. Reusable, strong twisty ties for your extra long phone charger – and all those mystery codes that you think you might need one day.

17. These birch hooks, because they’re clean, paintable and pretty cute, too. You’ve seen them in every room at Tree House!

18. Stacking storage boxes in every size, made from lightweight wood.

19. These plywood coat hooks, because your friends keep confusing your couch for the coat closet.

20. A tabletop lazy susan for this corner, that corner and those corners! Or if you have an actual lazy susan, these are a game changer.

21. These no-slip hangers in ivory for a happier closet (and happier mornings). There is no simpler closet upgrade than matching hangers – trust.

22. An old school embossing label maker to make your organizing-loving heart so, so happy.

If you’re feeling empowered to get your whole home whipped into shape, we’ve also shared typically less-than-pretty essentials that look good doing their thing – think: toilet brushes and trash cans. You can find all of those here, if you’d like:

I agree that organization is the best kind of rabbit hole ;)  Have a great weekendReplyCancel

I wish I could use bamboo trays, but here in Hawaii they get moldy!  So, I am forced to use non-molding plastic trays.  Not nearly as pretty, but who wants stuff surrounded by mold!  ReplyCancel

      I didn’t even think of that!ReplyCancel

Same for Florida! It must be the humidity, but anything bamboo in the kitchen has a pretty short life span ????ReplyCancel

One tip I’ve read over and over from professional organizers is that it’s essential to sort and purge first, and then buy organizing tools with a clear plan for what you need to help corral/contain the stuff you’re keeping.  We typically think these tools are the means to start the organizational process but, without a clear vision of what you actually need, you can end up bringing more stuff into your home that just winds up as clutter.  ReplyCancel

Some great finds. Have you used that coat rack? Finding an attractive and sturdy one is hard,ReplyCancel

      I haven’t, but I dig deep on reviews!ReplyCancel

I got the embossing label maker for Christmas (yep, totally made the list!) based on your recommendation, and it’s a GAME CHANGER. Love it way more than my other label maker (not sure what it says about me that I’m now a woman with two label makers). I even used it to neatly label left over paint (also stored in those clean stainless quart cans you recommended!).ReplyCancel

Ohhhh yes! Now I need to relabel our quarts, haha!ReplyCancel
