A Baba Pillow Loophole

Just as we’ve been trying to enjoy some down time with friends, the same could be said for our home. This home. We’ve slowed down. We’re finding happiness in the choices we’ve made over the years, and we’ve painstakingly made the most practical decisions for our bathroom’s umpteenth re-do. We’re crossing our fingers, dotting our i‘s and doing all the things you do (or we think you’re supposed to do) when you’re mid-new-home-buying, and we’ve often times said aloud, why does it feel so much harder this time? (You know, in comparison to purchasing this teeny gem.)

And that! That is why we can’t divulge much more – yet.  A slowed timeline. Unanswered questions. Too many drive-bys to the soon-to-be; an embarrassing amount.

So while we think ahead but still try to live in the now (the NHL playoffs are a welcome distraction – go Pens!), we’ve been hanging out in this limbo-life. No fussing, no tweaking. No big permanent changes. But our itchy fingers still crave little environment changes, and so, enter Baba Souk. A loophole! A loophole in, quite literally, pillow form!

When Stephanie from Baba Souk reached out and introduced herself with all her enticing pillows and stickers and trivets and jewelry (and, and!) – all the while using very Kim-like grabbing lingo and describing their shop as a haven for creative cool cats (ooh, how she seemed to know me so well!) – I was a fan. I picked out the sweet Moroccan pillow above, and in turn, I received the most adorable package on my doorstep. (Well, the building’s common hallway, but still.)

And because a pillow weighs practically nothing and puts a crazy smile on this crazy face, Scott was on board. (Right now we’re weary of any new purchases, as everything we bring into this home will eventually need to move out of this home.)

To be honest – and while Scott may swear I say this every time – I don’t remember the last time I brought home a pillow I loved this much. (Dramatic much? Maybe. But love is love.)

It has the most beautiful sheen. It’s one of a kind. It looks extra, super pretty in the studio! And it supports indie designers and an amazing small business. Win-win-win. (Win.)

And maybe this will be your favorite part (just a guess?) – Baba Souk wants you to have one, too! (Or anything you want, really.) Take a peek around their store and use promo code BABAYBH for 15% off their whole shop, and then tomorrow, we have a very Baba giveaway in the works! (Win.)

Promo code BABAYBH expires May 6th.
