Maybe the thought crosses my mind too often, you know, between the Pet Shop and our own three kiddos. Oh, to be fed on a regular schedule, soak in every belly rub, nap in the sun, and take car…  Aside from our questionable art and a handful of yellowed photographs, we also picked up this bare bones frame (we’re talking Randolph Flea, by the way). And while snapping a glamour shot of said frame, we kind of fell in love with the gaudy gold against our graphic paper. Whoa. We realize it’s no sin…  The one good thing about the absurd amount of rain that Chicago’s seen this summer is that our garden – well, our garden is growing. Add one part steamy, hot days to equal parts muggy, thick air, and we’d say you’ve got one hell of a flower party. (All the better to dine in!) And…  Have you ever played Chicken Foot (a.k.a. Mexican Train, Chickie dominoes, etc.)? After a few pals visited a month ago and introduced the amazing-ness that is Chicken Foot, we’ve been totally hooked. Like, every friendly gathering starts with who has the dominoes? Of course, Jack loves any excuse to have all his favorite people around…  It’s thisclose to the weekend, and I’m practically floating because I am excited. Like, holy schmoly, omg, it’s almost Saturday! And then it’ll be Sunday! And while that’s pretty obvious, we’re looking forward to a lovely weekend planned with some of our closest friends, and we’re scrambling to wrap up all our loose ends. So… |
