Using the garland leftover from the Renegade Fair (seen on the display behind our booth), we stuffed the bare spots on our fake and kicked up the real evergreen status around here a few notches. Small, 1-2 foot sections (about 12 feet in total) were all we needed to plump up…  A few months ago, I finally ponied up and hung our tangle of mirrors (plus one piece of framed art) in the office. For far too long, they’d been sitting in a jumbled pile on the sideboard, taking up space and driving me ca-razy. Until recently, they’d been looking quite pretty, reflecting the sunlight and…  I didn’t get that scale I really, really wanted from the Vintage Bazaar (it was the first item we saw, I told Scott we shouldn’t lay our money down so fast, and 10 minutes later it was gone. Oh, Kim, amateur mistake!), but my hard feelings towards myself were redeemed when we snagged this one…  As much as Scott loves any excuse to use his power tools (to clarify, we’ll call it a love / hate relationship, since it usually means I’ve dreamed up a new project and his weekends suddenly become more labor intensive than he’d like), we agree that easy upgrades are every bit as satisfying and enjoyable…  You may remember last year when we hit up the first annual Vintage Bazaar in our ‘hood’s music venue, The Congress Theater. Well, the 2011 edition was yesterday, and it was awesome. Same place; same time. Everything from Herman Miller chairs to old bowling pins, prints, letterpress, and pre-made terrariums were represented.
