Rested and Back At It

After the busiest, craziest and most hectic year The Pet Shop has ever (ever!) had, we’re eager to say, Come in! We’re open! Er, well, we’ve been open, but we’re back to taking custom portrait orders as usual. My painting fingers had a restful, happy holiday break, and Scott and I took much needed time to visit family, enjoy our city and sleep in.

Like, I didn’t even get out of bed some days. And it was great.

Since we’ve been back at it in this new year, we’ve updated the Shop with an updated gallery of recent paintings and testimonials – and we’ve already been so lucky to “meet” a handful of fuzzy kids through the magic of Christmakuh gift certificates (and we’ve yet to have a full week of January yet!).

We also want to thank you a thousand times over for the love and support we’ve received since launching the new Shop this past summer – especially as we began the rewarding ride of collaborating alongside animal rescue nonprofits. Since partnering with New Leash On Life and One Tail at a Time over the last 2 quarters, we’ve been able to donate $2,000 to pets in need, and my goodness! that warms our hearts so much. Just think of all those little tails and wet noses that are now snuggling into their forever homes. You know we couldn’t have done that without you, right? Thank you.

This quarter, we’re looking forward to working with our newest partner, Born Again Pit Bull Rescue in Portland, Oregon. Now through March 31st, a percentage of our proceeds from every product in The Pet Shop will be happily given back to those BAPBR companions waiting for new moms and dads. (Click on the image below to learn more about BAPBR!)

We’re looking forward to another amazing year working with you – yeah, pets!

I visited Portland recently and really loved that it is a pit friendly city. It makes me happy to see people that have compassion toward this lovely and highly misunderstood breed. I support any efforts that help pit bulls so I will be placing an order in your pet store ! And thanks for introducing BABPR! Hi Jack!ReplyCancel

Kim, Thank you for the very special portrait of Bella. My sister and bro-in-law love it and can’t wait to find a special place for it in their soon-to-be new home. Thank you for also being so great to work with and making a priceless work of art for their family. I enjoy following your blog. You have a great style for your home and I look forward to hearing about your future adventures!
