We haven’t mentioned much about it until now, but the hubs and I…  You may have seen our recent post in which we relayed to you, dear reader, the trying tale of the great flood of 2010. But thanks to a lot of work, research, and oh-so-much patience, we now have hot water restored to our condo (after 10 days without!). And it looks like the building’s insurance…  Graffiti is vandalism, it scars the community, hurts property values and diminishes our quality of life. Ouch. Not my words, rather, this is a direct quote from our city’s Graffiti Blasters web page. Last week our yellow-brick building was tagged. I’m like the old grouchy lady who mutters under her breath. You know the kind….  Many of you know that the hubs and I lost a boat full of invaluable items after last week’s Windy City flood. (Insert four-letter expletive here).
