The color we picked for our bedroom was called “corn muffin yellow.” My mother was helping and she had just started painting our room when I heard her call, “Susan, you might want to take a look at this!” The color was awful! Being on a super tight budget, we went ahead and painted the whole room hoping it would dry lighter and prettier (ah, hope springs eternal!). It didn’t and we stood the color for about three months before repainting. Well, that’s the first of many times we have enthusiastically embraced wild paint colors and some have been big hits and some even bigger misses! Often the misses make for the best stories and we still chuckle over that corn muffin yellow bedroom!
