I absolutely love this idea. My bf rides a bmx bike because he had way too much fun on it as a kid to give up and I have a mountain bike that I ride back and fourth to work everyday. We are always tripping over our bikes and having to move them around in our tiny apt. I am making this #1 on my to-do list. Thanks!

Hi Dee! Our ceilings are 9 1/2 feet tall and the bikes hang down about 44" at their lowest point. Since I'm around 5'10", I can walk below them with a couple inches of clearance. A couple of our friends who utilize the guest room are a bit taller than me, but it never really becomes an issue since the bikes hang over the sideboard. Hope this helps!
